The International Journal of Multicultural Education (ISSN 1934-5267) is a peer-reviewed open-access e-journal for scholars, practitioners, and students of multicultural education. Committed to promoting educational equity, cross-cultural understanding, and global awareness in all levels of education, IJME publishes a variety of writings such as (1) reports of empirical research, typically in qualitative research orientation; (2) literature-based scholarly articles that advance theories and scholarship of multicultural education; (3) praxis essays that discuss successful multicultural education programs or practical instructional ideas and strategies; and (4) reviews of visual arts, professional and children's books, and multimedia resources.
IJME, the successor of EMME (Electronic Magazine of Multicultural Education), publishes two issues a year. Spring issues, appearing at the end of June, are typically on open themes of multicultural education. Fall issues on special themes are published at the end of December. The table of content of the Spring 2008 Issue is available below. Full texts will be available shortly in PDF format. To access the full texts and receive publication announcements at no cost to you, please register as Reader. (Note: The content of EMME is also freely available from http://www.eastern.edu/publications/emme).
